This little café is so adorable and has some of the most friendliest employees, but I gave them 3 stars because of sanitation. I think I've seen 3 different people work there before (not all at once). One day on my way to the library for a research project, I decided to stop at the café for a cup of Joe. Before I got to the sliding doors, I saw one of the employees bent down near a drawer ... I guess she was fixing her hair because she was doing a lot of shaken and flipping of her hair. There's been times I'd see pieces of hair on the outside wrapping of my food or times where I'd see a piece a hair on my cup or the condiments. The people here are really friendly, but please just tie up your hair or wear a hairnet. The food is delicious, but it would be even better if it was made with clean hands.
Take a break from Charbucks, DD's, and Nordstroms. This place is located right in the Balto. Co. Public Library Towson Branch inside the hallway that connects the parking garage to the library.
They serve the best coffee by far (IMHO) and the baristas are here because they love what they do. They'll hook you up to get you on your "buzz."
Actually about a 3.2 star, but I'll round up for lack of alternatives in the edge city hell of Towson. Nice little cafe within the Towson library. About a dozen tables. Two usable outlets. Open late. Free wi-fi with no content filter, surprisingly. No music, and sometimes some distraction from noisy kids arguing with their parents about homework, once school hours are open. One TV (sacrilege in a library!), but sound is off. Nice selection of Rishi loose leaf teas, including a decent chai made from tea leaves and no sweetener. Large selection of good but not great pastries, and a few lunchy things in the fridge. And hey, it's in a *library*.
