have been reading all the negative reviews. I have been a patient for years and always have a positive experience I have been to Dr Panllilio and Dr Grabow both great docs and never a problem with the staff
this place is still in business? I went to this office about 5 years ago. I cannot remember the names of the 2 doctors that discussed my case.I had leg pain and jaw pain.I told them I sometimes have breathing problems with some medications. TheY first stuck their fingers into my TMJ joint and told me to open. I couldnt - too much pain. They shrugged their shoulders. I latter found out thats an obvious clue to TMJ issues. They then assigned me a pain drug (cant remember the name but I think it was something similar to Lyrica). I called back in 2 days telling them the drug is giving me too many breathing problems and a racing heart. They told me to stop taking the drug, didnt assign me another drug, made no further effort to help me and dropped me like a hot potato.
My condition is such that they can not completely remove all of my pain, HOWEVER, they have done a great job in helping to neutralize as much pain as possible. And they are receptive to my needs of service.
I see Dr Grabow for nerve pain in my neck and spine. After only two procedures, my pain went from a 10 to a 1. I am so relieved. He is a terrific dr and recommended by a head dr at JHH. I will never change doctors again. He has worked a miracle on unbearable pain for me. Also,he and his staff are friendly, courteous and very nice. In my opinion, the doctors did not put much effort into figuring out what was actually wrong with me. They were more interested in prescribing a pill so they could make money.
Had numerous experiences with Maryland Pain Specialists dating back to when they were Maryland Pain Management. I must say, the doctors are talented. However, the quality of care has been watered down since they reinvented themselves. I've received inaccurate/blatantly false information regarding insurance and billing issues. The initial visits are now normally handled by a PA rather than the specialist you are hoping to see. More confusing is the injection procedure. While done in the same building and by the same physician from MD Pain Specialists, you receive a bill for the Ruxton SurgiCenter (which I believe is owned by the physicians of MD Pain) AND from the physician at MD Pain Specialists. Since this isn't done in their actual office, it is billed at a higher rate. None of which is clearly communicated with you, even if you ask. Legal? Probably. Deceptive and Expensive?? Absolutely. Because of this, I will be ending my 10 year relationship with them.
