Chelsea was unprofessional, unkind, and rude. Clearly this behavior is condoned by her superiors as her gateway of insane rudeness is only the first step to the office of nurses who also seem to hate their jobs/lives/other humans. I cannot wait until the day I can switch my health coverage and never have to be verbally abused by this staff ever again.
I am not sure I can even receive the antibiotic.
There medicines never worked for me. I even went there for acne and cough. And I am still suffering from it. No change from the medicines. If you go there you will just end up paying money but won't see any change in you. I don't know whether they really are nurse or not. because usually nurse should know which medication should go for a person.
3 hours later, I called to the pharmacy but they said the doctor didn't send the prescription yet.
One day later, I could contact the doctor and she said she will send it to pharmacy.
As a student it is serves its purpose and the wait times are short.
This Dowell Health Center is disaster.
But, my doctor forgot sending the prescription to the pharmacy.
Do yourself a favor and find literally ANY other doctor's office. If you want informative, professional, courteous medical care, the Dowell Health Center is not the place for you.
I had to struggle a lot to make my self feel better. I had to visit them three time for just a simple problem. I do not know what they will do, if they have to deal with some big issue. If you get any other option never go for this insurance plan. Dowell Health center is a disaster.
The worst experience at the Dowell health center. they steal money. They give you wrong medicines so that you have to come again and pay the charge.Also pay the medication. Even though you pay $900 for the insurance for three months i.e for one semester you end up paying so much for your medications, even those that were not right for you. And for every visit you do.

I am an international student and it is mandatory for me to take insurance from college. I donot have anywhere else to go. I donot know where I should go if I have problem. i can't afford paying more after paying so much for the insurance and that too for something that does not heal you in any way.
How can the doctor forget sending a prescription to the pharmacy?
As a Towson Student, I have had pretty good experiences with the Dowell Health Center. Good nurses and physicians, and short wait time when you have an appointment. The only issue is scheduling an appointment over the phone, the wait time is outrageous. I would definitely recommend scheduling your appointment online.
This is by far the most poorly run and poorly staffed health office I've ever been to. I have to use Dowell Health because I have Aetna Student Health Insurance while I'm an undergraduate, so I have been here and have been abused numerous times and today was no different. Receptionists and nurses arbitrarily refuse requests for appointments, medication refills, and referrals. Just trying to CALL Dowell Health Center is a nightmare. When I called, Chelsea (receptionist) answered the phone and while I was in mid-sentence she transferred me to the department she assumed I needed, which was incorrect.
