If there is a place for getting professional help in choosing booze, it's here. I had a whole discussion about rum with an employee, and they were really well informed. People bring shopping carts in and just load up with alcohol. They have the largest selection I've ever seen, of wine and beer, but also liquors. I feel like they know their stuff. Also, when I moved I found they have the best free boxes ever. Double win.
The cashiers move quickly and the staff is knowledgeable about the different assortment of wines. The store is a little dirty (the bathroom is horrendous), but other than that I like this liquor store. I'm a wine drinker all the way, and I wanted to try different kinds. I'm only 24 so I was curious about what wines from other countries taste like, preferably France and Italy. This place makes that easy with all the variety they offer. Will come back when I can.
Very helpful despite the holiday rush! I recommend going here if you need to pick up a lot of liquor in one stop. Outside staff even offer to assist in carrying items back to your car!
Great selection of wine and beer. Generally knowledgeable staff who don't try and "BS" you on wines and make good suggestions. Usually quick in and out of the store. Getting in and out of the parking lot can sometimes be tricky, so avoid the busy days if you don't have patience. All in all, an excellent store.
Total Wine is as good as its namesake- If you can't find it somewhere else, there's a good chance it's here. I was looking for a less than popular German Cherry Brandy for a dessert recipe and my local shop, a very nice store in most respects, had never heard of it. A Google search later, I found this Baltimore store had this cherry brandy from multiple distilleries! Four stars instead of five because it's not the most aesthetically pleasing place, reminiscent of Home Depot of Alcohol.
