Came here last night with a friend. People say, the dirty hole in the walls have great food. Even though this is a chain establishment it was dirty and the chicken was awesome. Judging from the reviews I would never order delivery. Order and go pick it up yourself if you can... 2stars because it's dirty but 4 stars for the chicken lol.
I ordered a cheesesteak from here about 2 weeks ago and was really happy with it. Today I ordered the exact same thing and could not even finish it. I'm sorry to say that the meat on the sub was unrecognizable; at least half of it looked like tripe and the rest was tough and hard to chew, not to mention totally lacking in seasoning. I couldn't believe this was the same carryout that I had just ordered from such a short time before. It was easily the worst cheesesteak I ever had, and my stomach was upset before I even got halfway through (which doesn't bode well for what the "meat" actually was). This is really disappointing- Stokos has been an institution, but I won't be trusting my stomach to them ever again. To be fair, the fries were good and well-seasoned, but I just can't risk ordering from Hillendale Stoko's any more.
I visited Stokos today. The food was great. Needs more seats, and some remodeling. But their customer service is Great !!!
we have ordered here 5 times, each time it was not good. We have found black curly hair in several of our food items. Also we often received our order without its drinks, or fries. Also orders are late. When we called the store about the missing items or hair in the food- the person was VERY rude, and argued with us. And would not give us our item that we paid for and would not even replace or give us our money back. Atrocious service! And gross food!
Ordered delivery & when my friend (a girl) went to get the food from the driver, the driver yelled from the car for my friend to come get the food from the car. My friend found this odd and asked me to go get the food. When I went to get it the driver got out of the car and came to me. I’m not sure why the driver could deliver the food to me, but not my friend. I’m also not sure where they got the idea that delivery is in the middle of the street. I live in Towson not the hood lol. Also the cheese steak was inedible, like absolutely the worst I’ve ever had. Awesome chicken tenders though, like for real, I have to give them that. But, don’t ask women to walk to the middle of the street at night when you’re a delivery driver that’s just weird.
