Seemed a little racist when we walked in the door. My mom said hi to the clerk he said nothing. But when a white lady came in he immediately spoke. What a shame he lost out on a good customers.
Blech. This used book store seems to be led by someone who stopped reading in the 90s and has little idea of what modern books are interesting. If you like young adult fiction, don't bother. They accept too many ragged and incomplete books. So disappointing to an avid reader.
I was so excited to check out the new location in Towson. However, after perusing around- I am actually quite disappointed. The new location does not feel as cozy as their previous location. I enjoyed having a fake fireplace and zeke's coffee within the bookstore. Now, it's just a tiny bookstore that feels crammed and slightly disorganized.
We've shopped Ukazoo for years.
After finally finding this new location, we once again found books to take home.
To get into the parking lot, going toward Perring Prkwy on Joppa Rd, turn at the 2nd driveway on the right just past the Loch Raven Blvd intersection. Bear to the right in the lot to park next to the building.
This is a great place to buy a book. All the other bookstores are gone, but we still have Ukazoo. The used books are cheaper than anything you can buy online, and their selection is wonderful.
