So I have lived at University Village for one year and I love it. I get my own bedroom, only share a bathroom with one other girl, and I have updated flooring! The view I have in my bedroom/living is fantastic and it's nice that the shuttle comes here. I will be staying until I graduate, that's for sure. The free breakfasts are a nice touch as well, and management is great. UV is very stress-free: it's safe, it's quiet, and it's clean.
The apartments are within short walking distance to campus which is very convenient. the price is high because you're paying for the location and the convenience of not having to find your own roommates; not the apartment. The apartment works well enough. Separate bedrooms, a common area, kitchen, and bathrooms. The maintenance is a nightmare because they take a very long time to respond. If you need an apartment quickly and don't have any roommates you can count on living with, or need a place within walking distance to campus, this is your place.
I've lived in UV for the past 2 years and will say it was a good experience. Like ANY apartment you live in you will go through issues over something. It's how the apartment handles those issues which tells you how they value their leases. Every issue I encountered with UV, they fixed and accommodated ASAP. That is very respectable to me. The apartments are furnished which saves you a lot of money and they're a perfect size for a college student who doesn't spend that much time at home anyways. They constantly have fun events planned for the residents and are always doing cute things based on holidays/seasons which I know a lot of other apartments don't do. The ONLY thing I truly disliked about UV was the parking situation. Other than that, I enjoyed living here!!!
This is a great place to live and is pretty affordable for off campus housing. It comes furnished and has full-sized beds! There's a pool, a gym, and a volleyball net!! So there's always something fun to do! Plus there's a computer lab so you don't have to shuttle all the way to school to do homework!! Choose UV! :)
Awful experience. The only good thing about this place is neighbors and the people who work at the casino. The apartment itself is way over priced. You pay $900 a month for a moldy bathroom, & outdated kitchen that had terrible looking floors that look dirty even if you try cleaning them. The furniture in the common area is also old looking. The bed is hard. They have bugs crawling up the walls and old carpeting. The list goes on forever. You'd think since they make so much money from charging $900 each month that the places would be nice. It's the complete opposite. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It's nice how close it is to Towson but I'm sure there are many other nicer places that are close. Overall stay far away from this place. The only thing this place cares about is making money
