They took over a year to transition from my dark red to a very light blonde, which I thought was a little bit too much. I don't think the quality of their work is worth the price either. However, Jessica has always been very kind to me. The store is nice and clean.
I attended Bubbles today for the first time after moving to Towson and needing a new hair salon. My hair stylist was obviously new and very sweet. I asked her to dye my partially grown out red/brown hair purple and i was informed i could only bleach my hair, which is completely untrue. I told her I wasn't bleaching my hair and she asked Megan the stylist next to her for suggestions. She suggested balayage to lighten pieces of my hair so we go with that and then they apparently didnt have any of the color I wanted left. So Megan gave her two bottles of her personal hair dye. Everything starts out fine, she paints my grown out roots with purple dye and then balayages my hair and i sit for 25 mins. She rinses it out and starts the process of dyeing my full head and the dye looks completely different but her being the professional I assumed it was fine. So I sit again and then she shampoos and cuts and drys my now purple rooted blue hair. No joke my hair is blue. The stylist realizes theres an issue and gives me her personal phone number and tells me if I don't like it I can come back. I was then charged for highlights, cut/blow dry and full color dye. And given coupons on my way out because they screwed up my hair.
TLDR; Asked for purple hair, left with blue hair
The stylist Charles was very unprofessional and did my hair terribly. I asked specifically for a medium length bob and got a pixie cut. Other stylists were much nicer and more accommodating, but do not work with Charles.
EDIT: I have just come back from my third visit, and it will be my last unfortunately. Again, the stylist was very polite and friendly, hence the two stars, but my $85 hair style frizzed out less than an hour after leaving. Also the stylist never use heat protectant when flat ironing my hair, and don't use irons that are hot enough. Lastly, it seems pretty unfair that customers with natural hair are charged such high prices compared to those with straight hair. I get it- it's more work, but you still don't end up getting what you paid for.
Staff is always polite and accommodating, but beware if you have natural hair. To my knowledge they only have one stylist that is even willing to work on naturals and while she is always quick, polite and Profesional, the products she uses are not enough to maintain a style longer than a day.
